Overview
ClavisAI is a clinical platform. We apply a minimal-cookie philosophy: we use only what is functionally necessary or analytically useful, and we do not use cookies to serve advertising or share clinical data with third-party marketers.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the platform to recognize your session, remember preferences, and understand how the interface is being used — without retaining information that could identify your patients.
ClavisAI also uses similar technologies, including session tokens and browser local storage, in its authenticated clinical interfaces.
How We Use Cookies
Cookies on the ClavisAI platform serve three purposes: keeping your session secure, keeping the interface functional, and helping us understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the platform for clinicians and health organizations.
We do not use cookies to track patients, build individual behavioral profiles, retarget users with advertising, or share identifiable data with third parties outside the scope of our BAA-governed relationships.
Types of Cookies
Strictly necessary (required): Essential for platform operation — authentication, session integrity, CSRF protection, and load balancing. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Functional (required): Remembers interface preferences such as language, workflow settings, and notification preferences. Improves continuity between sessions.
Performance & analytics (optional): Aggregated, anonymized data on how the platform is used — page load times, feature adoption, error rates. Used exclusively to improve ClavisAI. No patient-level data is included.
Cookie Reference
Strictly necessary — Maintains your authenticated session across pages — Expires at session end
Functional — Stores user interface preferences — Expires after 12 months
Performance — Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics — Expires after 24 months
This list is reviewed and updated when the platform changes. Last reviewed: January 2026.
Third-Party Cookies
ClavisAI’s clinical platform does not load third-party advertising or tracking scripts. The public marketing site may use limited third-party analytics tools. Any such tools are configured to anonymize IP addresses and are prohibited from using data for any purpose other than platform improvement.
Healthcare Context
ClavisAI handles sensitive clinical data. No patient health information is stored in cookies. Session tokens reference encrypted server-side records and carry no clinical payload. All cookie-transmitted data is in scope for our HIPAA compliance program and is handled consistent with our Business Associate Agreement obligations.
Your Choices
When you first visit the ClavisAI site, a consent banner allows you to accept or decline optional (performance) cookies. Strictly necessary and functional cookies cannot be declined without disrupting platform functionality.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings: Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Policy Updates
We update this policy when new cookies are introduced or when regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in-platform at least 14 days before taking effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the most current version.
